Cloth Collection Campaign

Being mindful of the impact on the environment due to the fast fashion industry, the members of Social Service Club came up with the concept of collecting old clothes, refashioning and donating them. Unlike our previous old jeans collection that revolved around the college, this time we have planned to take a step further and get other schools and colleges involved. We are planning to do this project in different phases. The first phase includes giving presentations to different colleges explaining our intentions and plans for collecting those clothes. The second phase includes collecting old clothes and dry cleaning them. Followed by the third phase which includes segregating those clothes for thrifting and donation. The fourth phase includes selling the thrift items and the final phase is field visit for donation. Musical Day With Children

  The  Social Service Club , in collaboration with the  DWIT Music Club ,  conducted an event  'Musical Day with Children'  on 27th August 2022. We spent some time with the children at the 'Sarita Bhawan' orphanage where we played games and sang songs for the children. The selected participants assembled at the college premises at 11:15 a.m and departed at around 11:30 a.m. We reached the orphanage at noon. Altogether there were 9 children and their ages ranged from 8 to 15 years old. We then gathered the children in a room and sat together in a circle. The excited children introduced themselves to us and so did we. After the introduction was over, we sang songs for them and they enthusiastically sang along with us. Then we played a couple of games namely  'Antakshyari' and 'Truth or Dare'. They enjoyed the games a lot and we got to learn more about them. Then at around 2:30 p.m it was time for us to le...
