Blood Donation Campaign 2022

 
Warm greetings to everyone, 

This year, there is a huge demand for all types of blood in the blood banks. After realizing there was a constant need for blood, the DWIT Social Service Club organized Blood Donation 2022 on October 21, 2022 (Friday), on the DWIT premises, in collaboration with the Lions & Leo Club of Kathmandu Chabahil city and with technical support from Grande Hospital.

 

There was an overwhelming response from the students, faculties, and members of the Deerwalk.  The event started at 1 pm. All the arrangements were made by the volunteers and club members. The willing donors who attended to donate their blood had to fill out a form with general information first, and then doctors examined their blood pressure and physical condition. Only then were they permitted to donate blood. 34 of the 40 potential donors who filled out the form and met the criteria were eligible to donate blood. The donors were provided with healthy snacks right after the donation. Furthermore, a certificate of appreciation was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.

 

We want to thank everyone who took part in the event for their bravery and efforts to save lives. We would also like to thank the active volunteers for their time and effort. In the event of an emergency requiring blood, please contact us immediately, we would be pleased to help.
